Trumpet

Alexander Pfeifer is a native of Leipzig, received his first instruction in violin and from age 12 onward has specialized in trumpet playing. He attended the J. S. Bach music academy in Leipzig and then from 2002 until 2006 studied at the music conservatory in Dresden. He has served in the Dresden State Orchestra, and currently plays at the Semperoper in Dresden and teaches at the J. S. Bach music academy in Leipzig.

Organ

Frank Zimpel, from Greifswald in northeast Germany, received his musical education in Köthen and then studied church music in Leipzig under the direction of Arvid Gast, Ulrich Urban and Leipzig University’s music director Wolfgang Unger. In 1996 he was a finalist in the Bach international organ competition in Leipzig, and later studied at the academy of music in Vienna. From 2002 until 2012 he taught at the Evangelical Conservatory for Church Music in Halle, and since 2015 he teaches at the conservatory in Leipzig. He is also Kantor at the Martin-Luther-Church in Markkleeberg (west Leipzig).
